Glee Cast on Ignoring Show 'Drama,' 'Getting Back to Basics'Sunday, August 07, 2011
Tired of the all the talk about Glee drama? So is the cast.
At two separate press conferences today for their 3-D concert movie (in theaters Aug. 12), the cast talked about their hopes that the upcoming film would help put the focus back on the show itself and less on the fandom-rocking news from recent months about graduations and cast departures.
“I think the great thing is that this movie is going to put a lot of things into perspective for people, and they’re going to get back to what the show is really about,”Amber Riley said. “It’s not about gossip, it’s not about drama. It’s about these [fans] who are connected to each and every one of these characters. Our characters have literally grown up with them. We’re helping them through adolescence, high school, junior high. So I’m hoping that’s what this movie is going to do.”
As senior year approaches, cast member Dianna Agron said her hope is to see the characters involved in senior year traditions. “Senior pranks would be funny,” Heather Morris added.
