Glee Stars Have Active Style Input

The cast of Glee always give input to their costumes to avoid "wardrobe malfunctions".

Paul Marlow has created the looks stars including Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith wore during their Glee Live! In Concert! tour earlier this year.

He explained the stars and show creator Ryan Murphy were keen to be involved with the costume design.

"We wait until the set list has been finalized and then the creator, Ryan, always had a precise idea in his head, so he's great to work with," he told Shout magazine.

"The actors always have an opinion, too. That's how it should be, because everyone wants to be comfortable - especially if you're going to be performing in front of 12,500 people! We don't want any wardrobe malfunctions!"

Paul loves his job and worked hard to get where he is today. He had given some advice for anyone who would like to follow in his footsteps.

"Learn pattern-making! You need to understand the construction of garments," he said. "There's a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff you need to know - it's not very glamorous on a day-to-day basis, like everyone thinks."
