WHAT LIES AHEAD
Bye, Bye Blaine: Jeez, just because you have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to star on Broadway, doesn't mean you should leave your TV show for it! Where do you get off, Darren Criss? We're totally kidding, of course, but it is sad that we'll be missing Blaine for a couple of episodes in the back half of the season. But don't worry, his absence from McKinley High is nothing dramatic. "He doesn't really disappear,"Chris Colfer tells our own Marc Malkin. "He just kind of goes away and then he comes back. He doesn't go, like, find himself in South Africa or anything." Now that'd be a cool spinoff. Glee: Johannesburg.
Ode to M.J.: On Jan. 31, Glee returns with its tribute episode to the King of Pop. In case you missed the official episode description, here it is: "In a special episode celebrating the music of Michael Jackson, the rivalry between New Directions and the Warblers intensifies en route to Regionals. Meanwhile, Kurt and Rachel receive news regarding their admissions process at NYADA, and things continue to heat up between Sam and Mercedes." Ooh, sounds simply scintillating. We hear this episode is incredible, and a big "shining star" moment for new series regular Grant Gustin.
